Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices. We begin the week in splurge mode, with our most expensive suggestions, and wind our way to Friday, where a less expensive item of clothing might be just what you need to make it to the weekend.

Bob Basics Cashmere Deep V

Another great sale piece from ShopBop: this deep V-neck cashmere sweater. It's a bit too low cut and sheer to wear by itself, but there are so many fun things to layer with it: button-down blouses, silk tie-neck blouses, simple t-shirts and camisoles, et cetera, et cetera. It's a lux basic.

Now $99 (was $198) at ShopBop. Bop Basics Cashmere Deep V Sweater

Some of the classic cashmere sweaters for work (as of 2025) include Nordstrom Cashmere, Quince ($50!), Vince, J.Crew, Naadam, Talbots, Lands' End, and Brooks Brothers. If you're looking for something fancier try TSE, Loro Piana, Akris, Autumn Cashmere, or (more casual) Jenni Kayne.

  1. I really like this sweater but I have to wonder, is cleavage (like the one the model has in the photo) truly office appropriate attire if a Corporette wants to be taken seriously in the workplace?

Just a thought! Love your site!
