Thursday’s TPS Report: Wrap Dress
This post may contain affiliate links and Corporette® may earn commissions for purchases made through links in this post. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices. We liked this dress when we saw it full price a few weeks ago, but it is selling out like hotcakes at every Macy's we've been to (we featured it last week at the AK Anne Klein event in Miami and people were trying to buy the dress the model was wearing after she took it off!). It has sleeves, a nice fitted look, and discreet pockets if you want to stash your keycard — and it's on sale. The red and black are $95, or the khaki color (“Tundra”) comes down to $90 with the 30% Off Friends and Family link. Because of the sale and popularity, limited sizes are available at AK Anne Klein — more sizes may be available at Macy's. Wrap Dress Also: We'll be doing a Twitter Chat at 10:00 — hashtag #beanchat. Come join the fun! If you've recently seen a great work piece you'd like to recommend to the readers, please e-mail editor@corporette.com with “TPS” in the subject line. Unless you ask otherwise, we'll refer to you by your first initial. (L-3) (Disclosure: As you know, we're doing a promotion/event series with AK Anne Klein, but we are not being paid to feature this particular dress (beyond our affiliate relationship) — we just really like it (and have ordered it ourselves.))Sales of note for 2/7/25:

Thanks for the recommendation :-)
Same dress is also available in a few plus sizes in khaki, if you click on “Women” on the side. Thanks for sharing!
I don’t care for this – too much “poufy detail” at the top – the tab roll up sleeves, the biggish collar, the drape over the bosom and around the waist. I think the style would be better in a knit (all the gathers would lie more smoothly) than this fabric, which appears to be a twill.
Agreed – too much bulk in this dress for my tastes. It would be better in a less “stiff” fabric.
Great Choice! Love this dress! The details make it different from the regular wrap dresses out there. Just wish there were more sizes! :-(
I’m not in love with it. I am sure this model is very thin, but the fabric and styling of this dress make her look rather chunky. I think part of that is the tab roll up sleeves, which add a lot of bulk to the arm. Am I the only one who can’t stand those? They aren’t particularly flattering, comfortable, or versatile. If it does roll down (I can’t tell on the site) the fabric makes it so it will look disreputable, and keeping it up means you can’t really wear it under a cardigan/jacket without showing the lump.
I actually love tab roll up sleeves & find them incredibly flattering.
I have to confess that I have fairly slim arms, but I don’t think that has any bearing on me finding them particularly flattering — I think they look great on arms of all sizes. The key is that they should not be tight on the arm but just a bit loose, which they usually are given the cut & construction (and if they aren’t, they’re just cut wrong — try another brand). My only gripe is that, as you point out, they don’t look good rolled down, and I feel a bit off wearing sleeves like that to work, save for really hot summer fridays.
I’m not a fan of the tabbed roll-up sleeve either. Just don’t like the look.
Beautiful! But from what I can tell, I’m the only person on the planet who looks short, fat and old in a shirt dress.
Not just you! I hate shirt dresses – always have, since I had to wear one when I played Mrs. McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie in 7th grade. LOL.
Me too. The amount of tailoring I would have to do to make any one I’ve ever seen look good on me suggests that it’s just not going to work for me. Love the look though.
Macy’s has it in plus sizes in black, red, and khaki. Does anyone think the sleeves could be altered to just be regular short sleeves? I think I’d buy it if that were an easy fix. I’m a sucker for dresses with hidden pockets!
I definitely think they could be tailored — there is more than enough fabric to create a hem around even a relatively long “short” sleeve.
Definitely — seems like that would be a quick fix from a tailor — larger Macy’s sometimes have one onsite
That’s pretty nice. It would flatter most body shapes.
Cute! Probably not the right fit for me, though, for the reasons stated above.
My husband implies that I look frumpy in shirtdresses, too, but I will try this one. It looks pretty.
If you like this wrap dress, but think it’s too bulk check out Diane von Furstenberg’s Vern cotton wrap dress – it’s cotton so there it’s more flowly and less likely to overwhelm you.

Oh gosh I love this one so much. Unfortunately, I also realised I have half a dozen dresses in my closet, and never wear any of them because I dislike having cold legs and feet. Still this is so gorgeous!
