Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices.
We've noticed this blazer before, but never liked the idea of it enough for a Suit of the Week — and, priced at $395, we didn't like it enough for a “splurge.” But now, marked down 40%, it suddenly seems like a great piece to buy and keep at the office to throw on top of other outfits that need a blazer either because you're cold, are heading to the CEO's office and not wearing a suit, or otherwise need to cover your arms. We like the fact that it's basic black, but with interesting details — the extremely wide lapels, the snap closure hidden behind the tie, and the flattering ruching/A-line effect. Was $395, now $237 at Nordstrom.com. DKNY Tie Front Jacket

meh….
I can’t decide about this tie-front thing. I’m sure that once a stylist isn’t there to tie and iron the ties, it looks far less attractive.

I agree
Everything that has a tie that I own looks good for two wearings and then- alas –I am too inept to get the ties ironed right so they end up looking like a knot tied by 2nd grader. The dry-cleaner doesn’t help. Although I do like the nice A-line look to the jacket — DILEMA.
