I'm thrilled to introduce you guys to a new shoe brand that seeks to bridge the gap between comfort and style for women's pumps: UKIES. The brand's patented nanogel technology guarantees comfort and support in every step — no more insoles or inserts. The brand currently has two main styles in their AM-PM collection, designed to take you from desk to dinner. The first is the Arianna pump (pictured), a classic 3″ pointy-toe pump that comes in four colors: red python nappa, black nappa, gold nappa, and beige patent, for $199. The second is the Paris, a 3.5″ heel with a .5″ platform; it comes in black and blush nappa, as well as a black and navy patent, all priced at $209. Both shoes come in half and whole sizes, 6-11.
I think they're both great looking shoes, so I'm excited to announce that five lucky readers will win a pair of shoes of their choosing. It's easy to enter: leave a comment below (please include your email address!) and tell us: what's the most important thing you look for in a pair of office heels?

Comfort. And I have to be able to walk in them. I know. Pathetic.
Comfort without sacrificing style!
Most importantly, above all, a shoe that doesn’t show TOE CLEAVAGE. Those lines that pop out from your toes to your foot and look like little cleavage lines, just not a fan.
More reasonably, I have a mile walk to and from parking, so I would love a heel that I didn’t have to switch into when I get to the office.
The fit in the toes is huge for me!
My dream heels now would be comfortable enough for me to walk a mile in (since that’s the distance of my walk to work) as well as stylish!
The unicorn-rare balance of stylish enough that my less-tactful coworkers don’t make comments, classy enough that my cusotmers don’t notice them in the wrong way, and comfortable enough that I’m not desperate to kick them off before 2 pm.
Stylish but comfy
I work in Software Engineering, and I usually wear flats, but when I do wear heels, I pick them for comfort, and a balance of looking good without standing out too much, since they’re not more generally worn by my coworkers. That said, the red shoe featured at the top of the post looks AMAZING.
They need to be comfortable but still stylish.
I would love a pair of attractive looking comfortable shoes to wear all day in the office. There just always seems to be a trade-off between form and function.
I need a comfortable shoe that’s stylish, not too over the top, but works with my personality. In a cube farm full of engineers it can be pretty easy to stand out, but I also don’t want to be the talk of the office in a bad way. Shoes help to pull some personality into my outfits which may otherwise be pretty basic. I have to wear a lanyard with a badge all day at work, so sometimes layering on necklaces and other accessories feels too cumbersome. Out come those confidence boosting shoes!
I look for comfortable shoes with a low, chic heel!
I want heels that don’t look practical but are practical. They let me run around all day in the office and on the street. I wear them hard so expect some wear and tear. 3 inches are my limit.
I want a professional high heeled shoe that is classically stylish.
I had foot surgery last year and since have been on the hunt for good looking shoes that feel good and work in my conservative law firm. But they have to be a bit edgy or interesting, not grandma pumps. My holy grail pump is sleek looking and sexy, comfortable, classic yet modern.
versatility with my wardrobe and comfort
I want heels that don’t give me blisters but still let me wear proper heels – at least 3″! I’m also so over patent leather and like a nice regular leather shoe!
Something that looks classy and classic and helps project a competent, adult-but-not-frumpy image. Comfort and quality. The unicorn of shoes.
I love exceptional style with outlasting performance. I’ve been called a “force of nature” by some, therefore my shoes must balance my work and play. I demand a lot from my heels. Be it standing all day presenting to clients , than switching gears and networking all night at a local function.
My ideal power pump is 1) comfortable 2) decent heel — 3-4 inches 3) good grip for walking and going to all my meetings
Classy, professional, and comfortable!
I like exceptional style with outlasting performance. I’ve been called a “force of nature” by some, therefore my shoes must balance my work and play. I tend to demand a lot from my heels. Be it standing all day presenting to clients , than switching gears and networking all night at a local function.
Comfortable, definitely a higher heel with platform, business black, good grip
Style that I can dress up or down, and comfortable fit so I can easily dash from meeting to meeting without losing a shoe!
I look for a good arch in a nice pair of heels. If the arch is too high or none at all, my feet will hurt after only a couple of hours of wear. THe right arch gives me an extra couple of hours of comfort.
I look for comfort and durability. I live in the pacific northwest, so they have to stand up to water!
I look for comfort, height, quality, and style! Classy!
2 1/2 – 3 inches and a good cross between all-day comfort and trendiness
I look for comfort then classic style
Comfort over style, but they can’t be too frumpy.
I want to look like I spent more than I did, at least a 3inch heel, preferably stacked – so it doesn’t strip on the walk to court over the cobblestone sidewalk – and be able to stand all day without wanting to scream in pain or take them off under the table!
As a new grad in a male-dominated field, I mainly look for stable shoes that have a mature look without sacrificing comfort. Also, heels that will fit my wide feet. I made the mistake of buying a really nice pair of comfy heels online, only to have my feet squished when I first tried it. :'[
I look for classic, comfortable heels that will stand the test of time. My biggest criteria are being able to stand for more than two hours in them and making sure my toes are not pinched. Since relatively few shoes pass this test, I also have to look for shoes that hold up well after repeated use since any winners will be worn a great deal.
I look for a well made shoe that’s also stylish.
I definitely have to be able to walk in them, and no pinching in the toes! I usually go fairly classic, maybe with a little interesting detail like a different color edging.
Leather interior (I have to wear panty hose every day so the leather interior keeps my feet from sliding), under 3 inches, and appropriate for Court but not frumpy!
I look for comfort — shoes that I can walk around the office in without mincing steps! I also want versatility, so I can wear them w/multiple outfit combinations.
Comfort and style is what I look for.
I look for comfort when I purchase new shoes.
A reasonably low heel (I’m tall!) and some traction for walking across non-carpeted office areas.
