I'm thrilled to introduce you guys to a new shoe brand that seeks to bridge the gap between comfort and style for women's pumps: UKIES. The brand's patented nanogel technology guarantees comfort and support in every step — no more insoles or inserts. The brand currently has two main styles in their AM-PM collection, designed to take you from desk to dinner. The first is the Arianna pump (pictured), a classic 3″ pointy-toe pump that comes in four colors: red python nappa, black nappa, gold nappa, and beige patent, for $199. The second is the Paris, a 3.5″ heel with a .5″ platform; it comes in black and blush nappa, as well as a black and navy patent, all priced at $209. Both shoes come in half and whole sizes, 6-11.
I think they're both great looking shoes, so I'm excited to announce that five lucky readers will win a pair of shoes of their choosing. It's easy to enter: leave a comment below (please include your email address!) and tell us: what's the most important thing you look for in a pair of office heels?

Leather shoes with leather lining with no higher than a 3 inch heel, preferably in my favorite (non)shade of nude-for-me.
Sorry, if they don’t come in narrow and wide widths, then they aren’t going to be a “comfort” shoe for a lot of people. I get it that narrow and wide require 3x the number of lasts, but sheesh. People and their feet come in different shapes, how can shoes not?
I look for comfort and styling. Something that goes with skirts and or pants.
I need stylish shoes that don’t rub and give blisters!
I look for comfortable shoes with a reasonable price tag!
Comfy heels that don’t slip and don’t make me wobble when I walk would be dreamy.
Comfort, but still making me look sharp.
I prefer shoes that are comfortable and stylish without sky high heels. It’s quite hard to find low heels that do not look dowdy.
I look for the elusive “8 hour heel” that you can actually stand in all day!
This is weird – but I like to listen for a certain authoritative noise in the footfall of work heels. Not too clicky, but something that lets people know you’re coming.
Walkability, for sure!
I like a sleek-looking pump with a wide toe box and narrow heel.
I have rarely found pumps without a strap that don’t come off of my heel. So hard to find a pump that is wide enough for the front of my foot and narrow enough for the heel. I also like an interesting detail and I don’t mind a heel at 3-4 inches if it’s well balanced on my foot.
Comfort is huge, and fit. It’s also important to me that heels *sound* authoritative (instead of clickety-clacking).
I stand on concrete floors for 10+ hours a day and I have flat feet and I have the worst pain when standing more than 4 hours. I look for extreme comfort with flexibility along with a soft sole. I want a stylish shoe since I am a makeup artist however I do need comfort.
The most important thing I look for is comfort! I have to walk very fast to meetings which are often vat least a 30 min walk away. I also look for style -and quality!
Comfortable shoes that stay on my feet!
I like a classic style that I can stand in for several hours without tears. Under 3 inches definitely.
I look for something that is classic yet has some kind of an interesting detail or twist.
Heels must be comfy but not look dowdy
More recently, I am looking for quality. I have less time to shop, so I want classic styles that I don’t have to replace too often. It can be hard to find a style that fits well, so ordering online turns out to be a waste of time.
Must be able to stand and walk in them all day! Also would be great if they’re leather and can last in wet weather…
My office shoes have to make me feel confident!
I look for heels that are not too high and are of a plain color like black or beige that will go with just about anything. Also, of course, they must be comfortable! I love these shoes — both styles are great!

While fit is important, I also be able to wear them in winter weather — in other words, no suede or other material that’s destroyed by snow and ice.
A cute, comfortable shoe that I won’t be stepping out of all day!
Need comfortable but stylish shoes for the office and commuting!
I’m always looking for something that’s comfortable enough to walk to work in but doesn’t look like its most important feature is comfort.
I have crazy feet (high insteps, different sizes, different widths…my boyfriend calls it the worst mutant power ever) so comfy heels is a must-have and a very hard-to-find item for me. I would love the chance to try these!
Comfort is my #1 criteria.
Bonus if it’s fashionable :)
MOST important? Impossible! In my aspirational life No. 1 is comfort at any price. In my real life, style, then price & comfort ends up much lower than it should be. At some point, my bunions will force me into flats, but not yet!
Comfort and style – must have both!
Comfortable heels and easy to walk in! I need to go home without hurting, and be able to carry my infant around without worrying about falling.
I want a pair that gives me the “i can kick butt” feeling. Typically they are just high enough to give my posture a boost, but not so high that I can’t wait to take them off. A bow or other fun detail can’t hurt either!
I look for shoes that allow me to keep up with fast walkers!
For work heels, I definitely want something that’s comfortable, but also classic — something that pairs well with most of my office clothes!
Fit (I work in an office with marble-like floors, where slippage is common. Well-fitting shoes protect against this!). If I get to pick a second, lovely leather that doesn’t scuff easily. Ooooh, I really want these shoes.
comfy professional looking shoes that i can walk in, while looking tall!
Being able to walk confidently in them!!
quiet elegance, practical comfort. Shoes that don’t scream secretary’s staples.
