I'm thrilled to introduce you guys to a new shoe brand that seeks to bridge the gap between comfort and style for women's pumps: UKIES. The brand's patented nanogel technology guarantees comfort and support in every step — no more insoles or inserts. The brand currently has two main styles in their AM-PM collection, designed to take you from desk to dinner. The first is the Arianna pump (pictured), a classic 3″ pointy-toe pump that comes in four colors: red python nappa, black nappa, gold nappa, and beige patent, for $199. The second is the Paris, a 3.5″ heel with a .5″ platform; it comes in black and blush nappa, as well as a black and navy patent, all priced at $209. Both shoes come in half and whole sizes, 6-11.
I think they're both great looking shoes, so I'm excited to announce that five lucky readers will win a pair of shoes of their choosing. It's easy to enter: leave a comment below (please include your email address!) and tell us: what's the most important thing you look for in a pair of office heels?

must be able to walk at least 5 blocks in them without a blister!
I look for comfort in my office heels.
A fancy corporate lawyer, who loves the corporate dress-,
But my feet are size ten and cause me chagrin, because my shoes rarely impress.
Not only are my feet big, they’re practically long as they are wide, I love a good heel, but just can’t deal, with a narrow shoe cramping my stride.
So finding perfect office heels can cause quite the delimma, wide heels often are vile when width sacrifices style, not many options for feet that aren’t slimmer.
So when I’m on the prowl for the perfect office shoe, i seek a heel wide AND chic (the shoe must be on fleek),
b/c a shoe that’s too tight just won’t do.
I look for versatility so that they can match any outfit!
I would sacrifice style for a really comfortable shoe!
I need comfort and most importantly support for a bad ankle. I like to wear heels, but they’ve got to be well-constructed enough that I don’t roll my heel and sprain my everything (again). Also, pretty and classic, so that they can work with a variety of outfits!
Comfort and style! I really like contrasting soles (tan, not Louboutin red).
Need comfort with a reasonably high heel and style.
I need something comfortable but still stylish. Something I can have a short child-chase in but still wear to court.
I look for that rare balance of the ‘abilities’ – walkability, comfortability, and fashionability….
2-3 inches heels on a comfortable, sleek and professional shoe that will take me from day to night!
I work at a standing desk and try to build a lot of walking into my day. I dont want to have to change shoes to do this, so I am looking for something comfortable that looks good with pants or skirts.
Cute, but functional.
If I can’t walk to lunch in them they don’t pass the test.
I work on a military base, which is fairly spread out – so walkability is a must for the stairs in my old office building and meetings around campus! For me, that means comfort and fit.
I’m 5’7″, but I like a ~3.5″ heel, preferably with a small platform to make it feel lower.
They need to be all day comfortable and look modern.
Comfort and a good fit!
Shoes that are comfortable and still stylish are important for running around the office all day!
Is it too much to ask for comfortable classic shoes for walking and standing for long periods of time?
Comfort, definitely–and shoes that don’t show toe cleavage!
As someone that suffers from rheumatoid arthritis I am always on the hunt for comfortable shoes. I shouldn’t have to sacrifice style for comfort.
Conservative (i.e. closed toe, not strappy, not too high) but with a little somethin’ somethin’ extra (texture, color).
High heels that don’t have a chunky heel. Chunky heels are so unflattering. I’m a fast walker so I don’t want to teeter totter either. An elegant mid height narrow heel with a pointy toe to elongate my legs. These new shoes are gorgeous!
Classic, comfortable shoes! I always end up with more of the former than the latter since the times spent wearing the shoes at the store (or even at home) isn’t enough to really test the comfort of the shoe for walking about during the day.
Shoes that don’t make you look like an idiot when you walk! Super uncomfortable or impractical shoes that you can’t walk in properly undermine a woman’s authority.
Shoes are the toughest thing for me! I have very sensitive feet and always end up with blisters. I am forever on the quest to find comfortable shoes I can walk around for a long time in!
Comfort without looking frumpy. Ability to walk long distances without looking like I’m going to topple over or that my toes are pinching and feet are swollen.
For me, I look for a pair that fits well, will stand up to some hard wear and work with a lot of things in my closet.
When I wear corporate wear I want to be taken seriously and look great. So when choosing shoes I look for a classic, stylish shoe with a twist! Maybe the twist is that whilst it looks great its really comfortable, maybe the twist is its a great fit, maybe the twist is style, comfort, fit.
COMFORT! I LOVE heels, but I’m on my feet at least half the day as a sales person! The need to dress nicely and look stylish is all too often accompanied by painful shoes.
Comfort, comfort, comfort with classic styling. Arch support for my flat feet and a heel height that can keep up with my 2-3 miles of daily walking at work.
I look for a supportive sole and a moderate heel: if I’m walking to and from Court, or running around while I’m there, my feet have to be comfortable!
I agree with the commenter above about grate-resistant shoes. I’d like to be able 2-3 blocks to lunch to walk without worrying that the fabric of the heel will be ripped off by a grate or other sidewalk irregularity. I also need to be able to run up or down stairs and across campus (which includes concrete sidewalks, grass, and cobblestones) for back-to-back meetings. Obviously this shouldn’t cause pain, and I need to be stable enough in the toe box to not feel like I will fall and sprain my ankle.
I have sensitive skin that tends to run very easily with most shoes, especially in the toe and achilles heel area. I always look for shoes that give enough to not chafe me too badly! And when I do find those, I end up buying them in every color (including back up pairs!). Cole Haan is def my weakness.
Comfort is the #1 thing I look for in office heels. I won’t buy anything that I know I can’t walk around in comfortably all day. But style is also important, so all of my heels are both stylish and comfortable.
Comfort without frumpiness. The shoes pictured look really nice~
Comfortable mid-sized heel with an elegant look that transitions from day to evening events.
I need a shoe I can walk in, and go up and down stairs several times a day in, that doesn’t look frumpy!
My work heels have to have good traction so I don’t slip on the concrete floor in the halls!
They have to look cute and at least fit me.
Please, for any of us who have arches, some arch support! And not crazy high heels – low to medium, and materials that resist showing scuffs.
