Arianna UKIES Red Python Nappa

I'm thrilled to introduce you guys to a new shoe brand that seeks to bridge the gap between comfort and style for women's pumps: UKIES. The brand's patented nanogel technology guarantees comfort and support in every step — no more insoles or inserts. The brand currently has two main styles in their AM-PM collection, designed to take you from desk to dinner. The first is the Arianna pump (pictured), a classic 3″ pointy-toe pump that comes in four colors: red python nappa, black nappa, gold nappa, and beige patent, for $199. The second is the Paris, a 3.5″ heel with a .5″ platform; it comes in black and blush nappa, as well as a black and navy patent, all priced at $209. Both shoes come in half and whole sizes, 6-11.

I think they're both great looking shoes, so I'm excited to announce that five lucky readers will win a pair of shoes of their choosing. It's easy to enter: leave a comment below (please include your email address!) and tell us: what's the most important thing you look for in a pair of office heels?

  1. Comfortable but classic look. Shoes that stay on my feet and don’t give me blisters from doing a quick lap around the office.

  2. For shoes I’m looking for a chic style that has comfort too. I want to look professional but not boring!

  3. My must-haves for a work-appropriate heel: A 2-3 inch heel that isn’t too narrow, a pointed toe, and comfort in my size! I don’t know when it happened, but somewhere along the line, shoe designers decided that a rounded toe was more fashionable… Unfortunately, it seems to cut the shoe shorter, which makes it dreadfully uncomfortable, and somehow, they also seem to have all decided to make shoes with heels that look like pencils. Stilettos are fine — for after work, but for work, I need something with a bit more stability, please!

And I don’t know why it is so hard to find shoes in my size. Is a 6.5 REALLY that rare???

  4. I look for comfort. I love pretty shoes, and I love heels. But, if I can’t wear them comfortably for the entirety of the day’s events, they are an annoyance.

  5. I look for something that elongates my legs but is supremely walkable for meetings and lunches out.

  6. Classic style + comfort. Something that can go with anything and take me anywhere!

  7. I’m with everyone else – fit (to avoid clacking on the marble court floors and falling on my face) and style (I’m 30, not 80)! The Arianna is my ideal style-wise – conservative but still modern.

  8. I’d love to find stylish shoes that don’t make your feet ache after a day of wear!

  9. I need heels that will stay on my feet as I run down DC Metro escalators, don’t make too much distracting noise as I chase lawmakers around the Capitol and (most importantly!) are comfortable enough to stand in during hours-long votes.

  10. I need heels that I can walk in all day going to and from different buildings on our work campus that are comfortable and won’t be ruined by a little rain.

  11. In order of importance – comfort (need to be able to run to client meetings), style (classic and timeless, pointed toe preferable), and durable.

  12. I look for shoes that are high enough to make my short legs appear longer and short enough to not cause me to fall down the office staircase.

  13. I look for heels that are low, comfortable and stylish. I like for the heel color to match my outfit, too. The

  14. Durability! If these shoes are comfortable enough to wear all day everyday, I don’t want the heels to wear down after just a year!

  15. They have to be wide enough for my toe box, bend at the toe, and have a bit of supportive squoosh. It is so hard to find all of those things in a shoe that’s under $200 and reasonably elegant.

  16. I look for classic style with a 3″ heel that are comfortable enough that I don’t have to change into flats by lunchtime!

  17. The most important thing I look for in a pair of office heels is low heel height. I feel physically exhausted after a day in heels over 3″.

  18. I have been on the hunt for nude for me hells that arent patent for 5 years now, since my beloved Via Spigas broke.

  19. I look for heels that look right with my suits but can also work with more casual outfits.

  20. beautiful line, able to be the finishing touch to an outfit, often in a fun color to liven up my classic wardrobe

  21. By far the most important quality in an office shoe is COMFORT! I need to be able to keep up with my coworkers, all day everyday.

  22. I look for a combination of function and fashion, which is what the shoes above have! I’m glad you’ve introduced this brand. I normally add a set of cushions in my pump shoes because they’re uncomfortable otherwise. What a great find these shoes are!

  23. I look for a classic shape in an interesting texture or pattern… and heel caps that won’t wear out too quickly.

  24. At work, I prefer wearing a classic pump with a heel that isn’t sky high. Comfort is very important to me, so I enjoy shoes with a little cushion inside, it makes me feel like I’m walking on air!

  25. I look for a combination of comfort and style. I prefer there to be some level of cushioning/padding in the sole and a reasonable heel height that is relatively comfortable to wear all day. Also, I try to avoid anything that pinches the toes.

  26. Shoes that can be worn often but don’t look worn and are comfortable for walking around court all day.

  27. I look for my shoes to be comfortable and not too loose on my narrow heels, so I don’t CLOMP CLOMP down the halls.
