Does anyone have a recommendation for an attorney/firm specializing in non-profit organizations (formation and all that entails) in northern Virginia?
Anonnn
You should probably post again on the weekend thread. Assuming you want the organization to be a 501(c)(3), you want someone who also knows the federal process.

Kat, I love the GLASS DOOR article about applying for a job if you are over qualified. I had this issue when I interveiwed for the firm serving supeenies. I had a law degree, and had my admission pending for the NY Bar (which I eventually GOT), and was much more educated then the schlubs there who were not trained to do much more then pinch my tuchus and sign affidavids that they served somebody when they did NOT! FOOEY! But if you need a paycheck, like I did, you do what is necessary, come hell or high water, as dad says. So I told the supeenie firm that I was an execlent litiegator and knew all about 3211 CPLR, etc. So they were impressed and hired me, and even tho I left when I got a better job, I will never forget my days serveing supeenies! YAY!
