Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices. We begin the week in splurge mode, with our most expensive suggestions, and wind our way to Friday, where a less expensive item of clothing might be just what you need to make it to the weekend. We’re a little obsessed with this skirt, although we’re not entirely sure if it’s too casual for work. The case for it: it’s a black pencil skirt from Max Studio (available in slate gray, as well), and it has such cool detailing on the bottom of it — intricate and beautiful “chiffon ribbons hand-embroidered through raw-edged panels of a sinfully soft high twist jersey.” The case against it: it’s a pull-on skirt in a twist jersey (t-shirt material) and the description on Max Studio.com talks about wearing it to work as well as the beach. Here’s our thought: it’s gorgeous, comfortable, and on sale — we’d wear it with a black slip to work (to forgive any lack-of-working-out sins) and then rock it however on the weekend. Was $148, now $88. SKIRTWorkwear sales of note for 5.14.24

Might be a bit on the short side, especially for taller ladies.

Agreed, a bit short. Cute for the weekend though.

I say, keep posting the short-on-models skirts – us short girls appreciate seeing skirts we don’t have to get tailored to avoid the dreaded mid-calf look!
