Celebrate Business Women’s Day with Last Call

last-call-friends-family-saleThis post is sponsored by Neiman Marcus Last Call, where they just started their Friends & Family sale, but written by your regular friendly blogger Kat Griffin.

Did you guys know that today is Business Women’s Day? Fun fact: The first American Business Women’s Day was sponsored by the American Business Women’s Association in 1982. It was recognized by Congressional Proclamation in 1983 and 1986. (Source.) In honor of the holiday, Neiman Marcus Last Call asked me to take a look at some of their business fashion picks for women. If you're not familiar with Last Call, they have some killer deals on both affordable brands as well as more splurgey brands (hello, Donna Karan on deep discount!) — and a ton of great outfits for the office. Luckily for you guys, they also have a great Friends & Family sale going on right now — through September 25th, you can take an extra 40% off everything with your NM Credit card and code FRIEND40; or take 30% off everything with any other form of payment. (Note that it excludes clearance, estate jewelry, fragrances, Godiva, Gorski furs, Tom Ford, merchandise more deeply discounted, NM new arrival merchandise, and special events.) I especially like that the 30% off sale prices are marked on each product.

Some general brands where they have a TON of workwear stuff includes: Theory, Lafayette 148 New York, Vince, Joie, Cinzia Rocca Due, and Vince Camuto (tons of VC Plus).

On the jewelry side of things their Alexis Bittar collection is so good I had to stop writing the post midway through to buy a gold and black necklace (last one left!) — I also like their Majorica and Kendra Scott collections. On the weekend side of things I love to stock up on Splendid, James Perse, Current/Elliott, and Rag & Bone.

vincenightshadeLast Call has a great selection of Vince Camuto clothes on sale — this affordable tie-neck blouse looks great for wearing beneath a blazer, obviously with a black camisole beneath. It was $99 originally, but is now marked down to $48.30. Vince Camuto Floral Tie-Neck Blouse, Nightshade
joieivasnakeI always love Joie silk blouses for work, and this one looks great for work – the sleeves and split V are great, while the snake print adds a touch of fun (but Last Call actually has it for a few different prints). It was $198, but comes down to $97.30 with the 30% off deal. Joie Iva Snake-Print Split-Neck Top
ragboneturtleneckcharcoalI'm not quite sure what it is but I love this blousy sweater from Rag & Bone — the exposed seams at the arms give it a bit of an edge, while the wide cuffs at the wrists and waist give it a really ladylike look. It's available in several colors (some nearly sold out); this nice dark charcoal has sizes M and L left. It was $275, but comes to $118.30 with the F&F sale. Rag & Bone Turtleneck Relaxed Wool Sweater
lafayetteleaddressI just saw a reader noting how great Lafayette 148 is for workwear, and I agree — the quality is great, and the brand is one of the few brands that consistently comes in sizes larger than 12. This dress looks sophisticated and quality — it was $458 but now comes down to $192.50 with the 30% discount. Lafayette 148 New York Ruched 3/4-Sleeve Sheath Dress, Lead
theorygaberedI've always been a fan of Theory's classic Gabe blazer, and I liked it when it first came out in this fun brick color — but I like it even more now that it's on sale! Last Call has the blazer and the matching pants, both on deep discount — the blazer, for example, was originally $455, then marked to $289, but with the sale it comes down 30% to $202.30. Theory Gabe N Edition Wool-Blend Suit Jacket

Ladies — do you have any favorite brands to stalk at Last Call, or any success stories from F&F sales in the past? Do you have any plans to celebrate Business Women's Day?

Thank you to Last Call for sponsoring this post!

  1. Just FYI… No free returns (even with shoprunner) unless you choose to receive LastCall credit. Sort of annoying.
