Badgley Mischka Platinum Label Caroline Pleated Leather ToteLove this leather bag from Badgley Mischka Platinum Label, available in both black and brown. The pleats look great, and while I normally don't like the look of the crossbody, I could actually see this one being a versatile look. The bag was $498, but as part of Bloomie's sale it's marked to $373.50. Badgley Mischka Platinum Label Caroline Pleated Leather Tote

  1. I’ve been waiting for a coffee break just so I can post a threadjack. Has anyone ever had/bought/used a Ghurka bag? I came across them in Macy’s at Herald Square and I think they’re fabulous. I’m thinking of getting one of their smaller bags as an everyday tote. Thoughts on the quality/longevity of the bag? Would it be a worthy “investment” bag?

    1. I have fond memories of sitting on my parents’ bed “helping” my dad pack his Ghurka garment bag for business trips. (Of course I didn’t know the brand at the time). That was 25 years ago, and that garment bag is still in use! I’m not a huge tan/brown fan so it’s not my style, but as a matter of quality I’d say they are worthy investment pieces.

  2. I have loved the Ghurka brand since I discovered it at age 15…I wish I could buy one and highly recommend you do. The brand is a classic

  3. I am not a fan. From the pic, the leather looks cheap. Also, I can’t imagine this looking good on most people — the shape is awkward as a shoulder bag; without the strap, it would just be a pain in the a** to carry.

  4. Sorry, not feeling it. It looks like an el cheapo bag that someone might pick up from DSW. That wrinkled leather doesn’t look chic, just cheap.

  5. I also don’t care much for this bag. I saw a better looking one down at Century21 yesterday for $90, and it had a very cool red leather. BTW, there was a cute guy in the stock room that looked out at me while I was shopping, and when I left, he came out after me, although he pretended to go out for a smoke. I wonder if I should go back and talk to him; he was very cute, but I do not want him to think that I want him just for sex. Any ideas how I can get him to want to get to know me first?
