HUE Cable Sweater TightsOK, at this point it's more like Happy Hour rather than Coffee Break, but for those of you just settling in with hours to go (or, hey, the West Coast readers), I thought I'd point out that Bare Necessities is offering 30% off the clearance sales, resulting in some good prices. Lots of lucky sizes but deep discounts on some great lingerie; for decency's sake I thought I'd choose these cable sweater tights to highlight for the Coffee Break.   2. I’m giggling at the idea of the West Coasters jumping on the on-sale sweater tights! It was 80 degrees here today! ;)

      1. Yeah, i’m still pretty cold in SF. But then, my personal thermostat is so far off, because i’m a spoiled californian ;o)

    1. I’m here (well, west coast) just didn’t have much to say. Do people really only check in during work?
      For anyone still around – top three best and worst looks at Golden Globes? Mine:
      Best: Reese Witherspoon, Emma Roberts, Margot Robbie
      Worst: Emma Watson, Zoe Saldana, Jennifer Lawrence (honorable mention Drew Barrymore, Paula Patton, Julie Bowen)
      Overall I was unimpressed, and the lows were much lower than the highs were high.

      1. Worst: the (otherwise gorgeous) woman whose name I do not know wearing the white dress with the monstrosity ruffle that looked like it was strangling her. Shoulder length black straight hair. Caucasian. Very pretty. She presented with someone else.

      2. Ooh I was hoping someone would do this.
        Best: Margot Robbie (my #1 for sure), Emma Roberts and a tie between Reese and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (their gowns were pretty similar except for the different colors and I liked both but would probably pick Julia LD if I had to pick)
        Most Improved: Zooey Deschanel (it was a little too matchy matchy for me but otherwise pretty and she’s worn some absolute trainwrecks)
        Worst: Julia Roberts, Zoe Saldana, Kerry Washington (very early 60s-mother of the bride I thought).

        I loved the runway version of Sandra Bullock’s dress (http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Go7d8gH9ODg/UtNRAV-Id7I/AAAAAAAA3Lg/gr3jOAY-Q_A/s1600/sandra%2Bcomposite.jpg) but I didn’t like it on her as much – it needed the belt and it looked a little wrinkled. Also liked Olivia Wilde, Mila Kunis, Sofia Vergara (such a nice change for her not to wear mermaid style – she might have made my best-dressed but Emma Roberts was similar and better), Taylor Swift and pretty much all the dresses Tina and Amy wore except Tina’s red carpet floral thing. Overall, I thought there were a lot of very pretty dresses but nothing breathtaking.

      3. I thought Tina Fey looked stunning in both of her red dresses!!! I’m in love with her. Zoe Saldana was a mess, looked like a preschool art project.

        I’m surprised that you didn’t like Emma Watson that much! I understand the criticisms that her gown was a bit boring, especially compared to her usual fab style, but I still thought that she looked lovely and elegant.

        2. Emma Watson? Really? It wasn’t boring. It was just ugly. Dress/Apron in the front and cigarette pants in the back.

      5. Best: Cate Blanchett (classy + sexy), Reese Witherspoon, Lupita Nyong’o
        Worst: Drew Barrymore (but she’s pregnant), Jennifer Lawrence, Zoe Saldanha

      I don’t having anything of value to add, mostly because I’m just still working, and wishing I had packed myself some sort of healthy dinner instead of resorting to peanut M&Ms.

      1. chocolate-covered peanut brittle here…word up. How on earth did MONDAY become a late day at the office? I haven’t even had time to fall behind yet…

        1. I’m assuming the week will only go continue to go veer off track from where I sit now, to be honest.

          Peanut brittle sounds delicious, I should find some for dinner tomorrow!

    3. Central zone here, too. This week is already insane. I feel like I cannot get out of here until I at least reply to all the people waiting for my answers but I hate sending e-mail this late. It only trains people to expect you to answer after hours, which I try to discourage.

      1. Pacific over here, and I am totally dying. I was sick for almost a week, and it’s my first day back in the office. And I have been So. Tired. since 2pm. I need 6 to get here faster so I can go home

  4. I am SO busy now that I am a PARTNER. I am teaching the new guy all about WC law and how to bill. He has alot to learn. The Manageing partner told me that I have to take him to court tomorow so the judge can see him. I have to tell the judge that I am a partner and I am so overloaded with administrative dutie’s. FOOEY!

    Jim wants to go over his cases this week! DOUBEL FOOEY!

  6. For those who are still reading… I just went to the Lord & Taylor website to check out their cashmere sweaters based on the recommendations on the thread earlier today, and there are cashmere cardigans for $50 and v-necks for only $40, tons of sizes and colors left.

    1. There are a lot of sweater tights that don’t look like extra opaque tights so can be worn with any tight-friendly outfit. With tights that have a noticible sweater-y-ness I usually go for a texture contrast – brown sweater tights with a smooth black skirt, eg.
