A general note to start: there are a ton of AGL flats, Cole Haan heels, SJP heels, and Weitzman boots and heels. So I know it’s late in the day, but I desperately need some help shopping. I’m not feeling at all inspired. My new-ish SO asked me to attend a wedding with him. All of my dresses seem to be short and/or sleeveless (or both). I’m looking for something I can wear to a wedding in the fall with rapidly cooling temperatures that can also double as a work dress in a very business casual office. Anyone have something they love? I’d prefer sleeves please
Land’s End Short Sleeve Ponte Sheath Dress? It has short sleeves, falls to just above knee length on me (5’7), pockets, and is machine washable. Plus it won’t break the bank. It’s a very simple dress, but you can dress it up with accessories. I think a statement necklace and a shawl of some sort would be nice. For the office you can pair it with a cardigan or blazer.
American Living (now apparently sold at Macy’s) has some short-sleeved sheath-type dresses that might fit the bill. I’ve had a couple for 4 or 5 years and with regular machine washing, only one of them is just starting to pill. I’ve got a black one and a patterned one, and I’ve worn both to work and to not-too-fancy weddings and other events over the years.
depending on how fancy the wedding is.. I wore the following 2 to medium-ly casual weddings with blingy jewelry and heels and felt comfortable. They are also very wearable in daily life.

I love shoe shopping! I perfer Lord and Taylor b/c I often wind up buying shoe’s and later haveing to return them b/c Myrna says they make my leg’s look to stockey. FOOEY! Why don’t they make shoe’s that make my leg’s look THINNER! Myrna has muscular leg’s but she swim’s, run’s and bike’s , but I do NOT do either. There is a guy in the newsstand where I buy my Mega Million’s ticket’s that say’s I look just like Gwenneth Paltrow. He is nice but even she can NOT keep a man. What is the secret?
