I love shoes like this, but I’ve avoided buying expensive peeptoes because I assume you can’t wear them with tights and that makes them seem unversatile to me. Or is it acceptable to wear ones with small openings like this with tights?
I used to think tights with peeptoes were always a no-no, but recently I’ve seen quite a few women wear them with small peeptoes (like this pair) and look classy.
I frequently wear peep toes with tights! I even wore peep toes with pantyhose last week. I used to think it was a no-no, but now I fully embrace the idea (maybe it always was acceptable, maybe the daily rat race has made me want to rebel?).
However, with as small as the “peep” is on these shoes, I think even those less defiant than me can wear these all winter long with any sort of hosiery underneath.
I think it also looks very strange where the peep is either so small or positioned in such a way that you can’t see toes at all. When it’s just empty space, it looks (to me, at least) as though the wearer is missing toes or something!
Agreed with above — not a fan of tiny openings. Most feet just look weird, but I guess with tights it wouldn’t so much matter.
I have a similar pair of shoes by Donald Pliner (Tiff) that also has a small peeptoe. They are by far my favorite shoes — no break in period required!

This shoes is boring and matronly to me. I think some more detailing and styling would make these cute — a bow, studs, SOMETHING. Next! LOL.
Hey, how about posting some shoes with sensible heels. I know these are not stilletos, but some of us simply cannot wear much of a heel. My heel wearing days were over after I was pregnant.
So true – but there aren’t that many shoes with a 1.5″-2″ heel anymore. It’s either flats or 3″. God, I can’t wait for the 3D printer revolution.
Cute shoes, love the peep toe, and absolutely could wear with tights.
Ferragamo does loads of peep-toe / closed toe pumps similar to this one (same price range) in a range of colours, heel 2.75″ – super comfy (I have committed to these heavily post-baby when I had to throw out all my other 3″ heels). For the lady who wanted 2″ heels, they now do a 5cm heel range (think they have both peeptoe & closed toe in this heel range), which just may be what you’re looking for….
