Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices. Furla Handbags - B9o1bl41qmv (Agata) - Bags and LuggageOooo – lovely satchel from Furla. We love the way the leather is folded, the fact that is has feet, and the size — at 15.5″x7″x12″ it's big enough for a letter-sized notepad and a novel, but not so big that you look like you're carrying an overnight bag. The caramel color speaks to us, also — we'd wear it with browns and blacks in the fall, and with white and pastels in the spring. It's $599 at Zappos Couture. 1. I can’t deal with how gorgeous this is. It’s times like this when I wish I wasn’t still a law student!

  2. Gorgeous bag, and it isn’t nearly as break-the-bank as with most other luxe bags. Love it.

  3. Refreshing to find a bag without a bunch of grommets, tassels, locks and who knows what else hanging from it. I could get a lot of use out of this one.

    1. ditto – hanging stuff makes noise when you’re trying to slip out of a meeting! And is like yelling “look at my knockoff!” Fine to buy a knockoff, boo to advertising the fact!

  4. Guess I’m a lone nay-sayer this go-’round. I don’t care for this one. I am a fan of a number of other Furla bags though.

  5. another naysayer. love the color, but the stiffness and shinyness of the leather make it look cheap to me, and the straps are too short.

  6. Love it! Definitely a good way to start the week…

Amber/Cleo, hate to break it to you but most lawyers don’t make enough for $599 bags either :( Luckily I live in DC which is not quite as fashion forward as other cities and can therefore make do with the Kate Spade and Coach outlets.

  7. Ditto K re: luckily living in DC which is not quite as fashion forward as other cities. Living in a two-lawyer household with two sets of student loans & a toddler whose daycare costs around $1500 a month, $599 definitely aren’t at the top of my spending list.

  8. Oops, the English major in me won’t let my typo in the post above go! The last line should’ve said “…599 BAGS definitely aren’t at the top of my spending list.”

  9. Love the quote from MamaJD. How is it that I make so much more money now than I did as a young, single, childless associate, but when I was a young, single, childless associate, I would have purchased that bag without blinking – and now I can’t?

  10. I wish it came in a richer color! But this one’s lovely enough, I might let her ride the bus with me!

  11. I love it! Beautiful. But I don’t buy bags that don’t zip entirely shut. (Believe me, I’ve tried ones that have zip pouches in the center and then snap closed like this one, but I just can’t pull it off.) Good thing or I’d be $599 poorer tonight than I was this morning.
