Cardigan report – unfortunately, the Lord & Taylor cardigans were not a good fit for me – both were quite a bit too small (I ordered my usual size).
When I went back online to exchange, black was sold out in all but one of the cardigan styles (and that one wasn’t on sale). Disappointed – I had been congratulating myself on buying cashmere on super-discount. Do they not vanity size, or was it a one-time aberration of those clothes being mislabeled? Back to the search.

Thanks for sharing ~ I was about to try L&T cashmere for the first time and now I might order up a size.

I think when I bought some L&T sweaters last year, the body size was okay and in line with my expected size, but the sleeves were strangely tight. I actually have been finding that to be an issue with a lot of different manufacturers, and my guns aren’t that big. Since just the sleeves were tight, I bought the sweater and just stuffed the sleeves full of socks to stretch them out a bit, which seemed to work.
Watch for coupons for L&T and sales closer to Christmas, and especially after the holidays. I can usually pick up cashmere for close to half price in January. But then, I kind of prefer the odd colors to black.

In re the CNN article, is it just me, or did it seem sexist, starting with the photo? Women were the target of most of the barbs! Keep in line ladies!
It was enough to make me want to see someone in a crunchy suit and go go boots.
I’m all for good taste and judgment — I’m glad the visible thong era appears to have ended — but this article went out of its way to single out women.
Coming from the brand that brought us Eliot Spitzer as a talk show host, I’m not especially impressed by CNN’s judgment.

CNN: I stopped watching regularly after you put on “Parker Spitzer” or whatever that show was called and I have completely lost the habit.
What were you thinking?

“barbs.”
