Great timing! I am dating a Brit, who wants me to marry him and go back to Liverpool. Now that the Brexit is passed, if things don’t work out, will I be able to get work anywhere in the European Union, or will I be stuck in the UK? I want to work in Paris or Amsterdam if I am not married.

Keep your passport and you’ll still have the same access as you do now. It is most likely that Brits will continue to be able to travel and live within the Shengen zone. The difference will be that they will be required to apply for visas and residency permits, much like people from anywhere else in the world. You didn’t mention your/his timeline, but it will probably take a year or two for the pound to settle at a value. Until then, I wouldn’t want to be paid in it.

OMG the This American Life piece is killing me and I haven’t even finished it yet. When Elna Baker talks about how her beloved husband wouldn’t have dated her when she was fat — yeah. Tough stuff…

That part of it was absolutely brilliant! Really helps clarify how all of us experience the world as our bodies. Bodies are not simply neutral containers for a mind/personality.
