I never understood why women (and men) wear their scrub’s on the subway. The subway is DIRTY, and these peeople treat patents in their office comeing from the subway (or busses) with all the filth and GRIT on them. No wonder peeople in hospital’s get sick from the doctor’s and nurses. FOOEY!
Abby
I agree. Medical technicians do this all the time and test blood. How gross is that if they taint samples with dirt and fecal matter?

Re:. the infographic, “For women, skirt suits are preferred.”
!!!!???????!!!!!!
And the firm misspelled “field.”
Senior Attorney
And I can’t remember the last time I saw or heard pantyhose referred to as “nylons.”
Well. “Know the firm.” That firm seems to be… stodgy…
Senior Attorney
Ah. It’s just a dude who doubtless got this content from some subscription service.
Query: How is it possible to have a law firm with just one “partner?”
Rural Juror
My family still calls them nylons and it’s a habit I’m trying to break, haha. Right up with “dinner” meaning “lunch” and all the farm-country idioms.

And apparently men don’t need to be concerned with having their hair groomed nicely…..

Are those open-toed shoes on the picture of the skirt-suited woman? Hmm. That really is a “know the firm” thing to wear to a formal interview for a recent grad! It’s not a risk I would take.
Cat
Yep. Full of platitudes at best, and outdated advice at worst. And the sloppy editing is really irritating:
“It will can sometimes be a two step process.”
“It is better to be equipped with answers in your head than to be avoid being caught off guard.”
And then there’s the finale: “Attorneys are often really busy and may have forgotten to give you an offer” Uh, no. If a firm is excited about a candidate, the offer is quickly forthcoming.
Did anyone actually *read* the infographic before linking it up?

YIKES.

And the only time the female person picture shows up is under the reminder to look pretty and not say anything mean. Really? Lame.

I think there is also a woman saying “Blah Blah” in the ‘Mistakes’ section…

Yea the infographic made my blood boil and reminded me of this Slate article from earlier this year: Women Who Wear Pants: Still Somehow Controversial (http://www.slate.com/articles/double_x/doublex/2016/02/women_wearing_pants_are_still_controversial.html). Maybe I’m just a contrarian, but seeing these antiquated ideas accepted (and published!) as legitimate business advice makes me want to never wear a skirt to work again.
Seriously, though– can we all agree that we will vocally challenge people who insist it is “preferable” for women to wear skirt suits? The more these stuck-in-the-past men see women whose work they respect challenging their old ideas, the more likely it is they will stop insisting their “preference” is the only acceptable attire.

I also noticed that the man’s shoes and face are focused on in pop-outs, while the woman apparently has nothing to focus on other than wearing a suit skirt with nylons.
And the entire writing style of this is super, super clunky and outdated.
Gross all around.
