Vent TJ; After years (and years) of awesome shopping and reading this site for fabulous work wear, my office is going casual. Not business casual but jeans casual! I have a closet full of fantastic dresses and skirts that will slowly but surely not get as much love and wear. And can I say how much I hate wearing jeans except in the depths of winter. Suggestions on how to transition? Still keep wearing my business casual clothes and hope I don’t come off as a stick in the mud when my managers are wearing jeans?

So I went from a business casual (formal end of that) to a completely causal office (I could likely wear yoga pants). I just haven’t changed my wardrobe. Yes, I’m overdressed, but I feel like myself and like I’m supposed to be working. Maybe over the years my wardrobe will change, but for now I’m in sheath dresses and heels.

You can keep your wardrobe but just style it in a more casual way. It will put you on the dressy side of your office but not stick out too much. Like dress with flats and fun accessory or skirt with a more casual t-shirt vs. a blazer.
