This is from last week but I don’t think it was featured then either, but a great read about Dawn Fitzpatrick, the woman newly in charge of George Soros’s investments. This is superficial but she looks great, and, non-superficially, just a super impressive story of someone who achieved a lot. And she has 3 kids. I like that the article doesn’t gloss over the sacrifices either. I’d love to have more stories like this highlighted.

Agreed, but I think it’s important to talk about these things. Like what are you willing to sacrifice? What do we as a society think is reasonable to expect women (and men) to sacrifice to get ahead? And then just the logistics of “having it all” – e.g., money obviously helps, as does having a supportive spouse, but I also notice that it says she lives in the same place she grew up and has lots of family near, which doubtlessly also helps her. Anyway, I thought it was an interesting read.

Can I just vent that Target’s webs!te is the worst? I tried browsing the VB clothing earlier this week (but well after any initial frenzy would have died down), and even sorting by “available online” 85% of what I clicked through to view was “out of stock.” I wasn’t super invested in buying anything so I just closed the tab in annoyance rather than continuing to browse.
