Is the grass greener?
A doctor friend recently shared that she and her husband decided to prioritize his career (he is not a doctor), ten years ago. She has never worked full time, but practices medicine on a 60% schedule. They have two children. Do we have any doctors who could weigh in on working full time versus part-time?
As a lawyer, the relative pay equity of my friend’s jobs (they have actually paid 60% of full time) is attractive. The ceiling on promotion potential is familiar, even as a full time lawyer.
