Thank You Senior Attorney (And good luck to others)
I have been a semi-regular poster for years and pre-COVID Senior Attorney kindly gave me her email and a route to some informal legal advice about leaving my emotionally (and occasionally physically) abusive H. It took awhile to do it, but I finally managed to separate, move out, and we are now wrapping up the divorce proceeindgs.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, SENIOR ATTORNEY!!
I have never been happier. It was hard and awful and I can’t believe how much better life is. I really want to thank everyone who had supportive comments and also affirm to anyone else in my situation that the only way out really is through and life is so wonderful now.
I am even dating someone extremely kind, thoughtful and successful who apologies if he has to speak a bit more loudly for me to hear him. If anyone reading this is struggling like I was, just do it and life really will be so much better :)
Senior Attorney
WOW!!! This makes my day and week and month! YAY!!!
BIG HUGS AND HIGH FIVES TO YOU!
Everybody in similar situations, take note — it really is so much better here on the other side! But the magic can’t happen until you get out.
Thank You Senior Attorney (And good luck to others)
I really can’t thank you enough :)

Wow, congratulations to OP for having the courage to find a path out and for encouraging others to do the same! Wishing you much happiness in this next chapter!!! And yes, there are so many fantastic and wise ladies on this board, including SA!

I love this so much. This site has become a strange and lovely sorority over the years, and I feel grateful to be part of it.
Notinlaw
Yeah! Congratulations on making this important step.

I have read for years but rarely ever comment, but that was the loveliest
I think I am a decade younger than SA with kids at home but having read her comments and suggestions for years, I wish we were friends IRL.
