  1. Pointing something out: EJ Carroll is an alleged victim. The point of the trial is to determine if she is a victim. The presumption of innocence is an important part of our justice system; however much you may loathe Donald Trump, it isn’t proper to call Carroll a rape victim.

    1. This is a civil suit, not a criminal trial. Criminal defendants receive the presumption of innocence.

  2. I realized about three months ago that I was likely to be laid off. I immediately went on a diet, both to fit into my interview suits and because I am a woman in my 50s who was mildly overweight. I wished I lived in an ideal universe, but in the real world discrimination against overweight people and ageism are both real.
