This is probably part 1 of our roundup — we're covering blazers, dresses (so many cute ones!), coats, and a few pants. (I still have yet to round up skirts, and have yet to look at shoes and bags.) What's on your wish list when the sale opens for most cardmembers on July 9?

Great Blazers in the 2022 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
If you're hunting for a solid blazer separate, check out our suits roundup — there are many blazers in that roundup that would work as a separate. A huge trend in the NAS this year: plaid blazers. The Best Dresses for Work in the 2022 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
There are soooo many great dresses this year — and the vast majority are under $200. (I'm not including a section on sweater dresses because I feel like those are such “know your office” items, particularly with the midi dresses — but here's a link to get an idea. I have a few selected for myself but they feel more weekend than work to me.) Ditto for this “maxi” dress from Club Monaco — it could work in some offices, but not all.

Work Dresses with Fun Prints
Lots of prints this year, with a lot of them in “know your office” styles (mini dresses, midi dresses, tiered dresses, etc). Julia Jordan has a lot of them in the under $100 range, as does Maggy London and Eliza J (the latter two with lots of plus-size options). I've noted which ones come in plus sizes with an asterisk.

The Best Coats for Work in the 2022 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
There are a ton of classics on sale (including the investment brand Fleurette!!) — and I'm kind of in love with all of the coats from both Halogen and Avec Les Filles.

I’m not buying any new workwear from the sale — I got enough pieces on super-markdown in fall 2020 (thinking we’d be back to the office after the holidays, ha). Based on the number of people in my office I think I could get away with maybe 3-4 total work outfits for the rest of the summer…
I did just scoop up my fav cosmetic deals (like my annual Revitalash supply), and a few new casual pieces – some updated denim – high hopes for the rag & bone ivory pair!
Pro tip – check for in-store pickup as a delivery option. For most pieces in my order, I had the choice of ship to home (scheduled to arrive around the end of next week) or in-store pickup at my local Rack… tomorrow! Plus I can try on my multiple sizes right there and immediately return the rejects.
With so many people WfH right now (including me and likely to stay a lot that way), I have a hard time buying new workwear. Tip for anybody interviewing as I just was– check out NWT suiting on ebay. Never seen such variety. I got an absolute steal.
I did pick up some cute sneakers in the NAS sale. The one thing I absolutely wanted was a pair of jeans that was sold out 10 min after I was let in last night. I’m so tired of the fake inventory game.
