Searching or browsing Etsy for the perfect gift is more overwhelming than ever (too. much. stuff.), so we thought we'd continue our tradition of rounding up some of the best Etsy shops for holiday gifts. Here are some suggestions from the Corporette/CorporetteMoms team — as well as some reader recommendations from our last discussion!
What are your favorite Etsy shops for holiday gift giving?
Messy Heart Studio
The artist behind this Etsy shop of watercolor illustrations lives in Georgia and has been selling on Etsy forever (OK, since 2009). Corporette writer Elizabeth notes, “I bought some really pretty watercolor prints for my office from here. She does a lot of stadiums, colleges, and other landmarks, so it would be really nice for someone who is hard to buy for, but has an affinity for a sports team or city!”
The shop also does custom pet portraits ($75) and custom home portraits ($85.50 and up).
Holiday shipping info: Ships via USPS; when I picked an item at random on 11/18/21, the site estimated an arrival date of 11/29–12/4.

Cedar and Stone Garden
Here's a suggestion from CorporetteMoms writer Carol. This shop‘s tagline is “Modern Minimalist Concrete Home Decor,” and it sells handmade planters, business card holders, phone stands, pen holders, ring holders, jewelry trays, tealight holders, and more! The tinted, hand-poured concrete is available in a ton of colors.
Carol says she bought some cute desk accessories from this shop — and beyond that, I think this ring tray, for example, would make a great gift for a friend or family member (or yourself!). It's available in everything from black to teal to apricot (all colors shown here) and starts at $19.95.
Holiday shipping info: Estimated shipping time within North America is 1–2 weeks; see individual listings for more details.
Le Petit Pin
Somehow I've gotten into collecting enamel pins — I keep them on a framed pinboard I bought years ago. (FYI, if you like to put pins on bags and so on, these locking pin backs will keep them securely fastened.) One of my favorite pin purchases is from this Etsy shop, which is based in London: their “Feminist Killjoy” pin. Other fun ones in the shop include JOMO (Joy of Missing Out) ($10) and F***boy Repellent ($8).
Holiday shipping info: If you're ordering from the U.S. for the holidays, it'll be tight but looks feasible — but check with the shop to confirm. (If you're ordering for someone in the UK, shipping is free.) If you'd rather play it safe and gift some pins from a U.S. shop, try Sweet & Lovely, which has some great designs!

Setting Fire
This shop, which is run by a Florida husband-and-wife team, was recommended by a reader who gifted one of their customized cutting boards. They personalize everything from ornaments to picture frames to beard combs (!), mostly in wood. This personalized cork notebook is $9.99, for example, and this personalized slate serving tray (one of the shop's bestsellers) is $29.99.
Holiday shipping info: Orders received after 12/15/21 aren't guaranteed to arrive by Christmas (via USPS).
Virginia Wynne
This New Orleans jewelry shop was recommended by a couple of readers last year and is still going strong. The designer's earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and rings are handmade with freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, and sterling silver. Some of the minimalist designs are delicate, like these braided-bar post earrings ($12.40 and up), while others are bold, such as this dome ring ($27.55 and up). Many pieces have subtle, smooth lines; others have striking geometric designs.
I love these floral cutout earrings, which are available in brass for $44.62 or sterling silver for $155.59.
Holiday shipping info: Most orders ship within 3 to 5 business days.
Favorite Story
A reader recommended the desk calendars from this California-based shop that sells illustrated paper goods and gifts — and I'm loving the designs! Right now, 12 desk calendar themes are available for 2022, including orchids, Terrazzo patterns, jungle animals, and birthstones.
You can also browse the artist's notepads, notebooks, gift wrap, boxed cards, and more (including custom offerings). A couple of highlights are this vintage typewriter paper pad ($8.50) and this personalized notebook ($22.50).
Holiday shipping info: After order processing, U.S. shipping takes 3–5 business days and is free on orders $35 and up.
Poterie Bonmatin

This shop's pottery was recommended by a reader, and I'm so glad they brought it to our attention, because it's gorgeous! I love how the bright whites and grays are juxtaposed with bold colors — turquoise, deep orange, bright red, and more. I must also bring this adorable hanging cat planter to your attention ($49.85). (Got a cat person on your holiday shopping list? Check off that person's name now.)
The shop also offers beautiful water pitchers as well as cruets for olive oil or vinegar. (Let's pretend I knew the word “cruet” before today.)
Holiday shipping info: Poterie Bonmatin is located in Montreal. When I picked an item at random on 11/18/21, the site estimated an arrival date of 11/30–12/7.
Readers, do tell! What are your favorite Etsy shops for holiday gift giving? Do you make any handmade gifts yourself?
Not on Etsy, but I am a fan of JK Designs Jewelry, which is an independent woman-owned business, and makes really pretty, delicate jewelry. Not everything is my style, but I love the bar necklaces and you can customize them to include meaningful birthstones, etc. Reasonably priced, too. I met the woman who runs it/makes all the stuff in Savannah and she was lovely, which is always a nice bonus when you want to support a small business.
And it looks like I was wrong – she does have a small shop on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/JKDesignsJewelry?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=619526131
But much more stuff on her own webs*te.
I’m looking for hand-carved wooden photo frames. All I can find are the awful laser-cut mall-kiosk-looking ones. I want to have a meaningful verse carved for a wedding gift, but nobody seems to do actual handmade work anymore.
Any thoughts on what to wear to a holiday office party?
