Thoughts on Grab Your Wallet, Boycott Ivanka, and More
Hi friend! If you're on board with the #grabyourwallet and #boycottivanka movements, I get it — I really do. As noted Election Day, #imwithher, and like many of you I've had a hard time focusing on other matters since the election. For what it's worth, Corporette has not featured an Ivanka Trump product on the blog since February 2016, and I have no plans to feature any of her products any time soon. The #grabyourwallet boycott of Nordstrom, Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Dillards, and Lord & Taylor is new to me, and I'm investigating it further — I will note at the outset that the stores are likely under contractual obligations to continue carrying brands, of which I know absolutely nothing. In the meantime, though, we likely will continue to promote those stores because there aren't many other mainstream, midlevel department stores with excellent customer service and return policies out there, to say nothing of a large range of sizes in regular, petite, and plus sizes (and enough stock to fulfill orders quickly).
HOWEVER, if you are committing to #grabyourwallet and no longer want to shop at midlevel department stores, please do check out some of our other roundups on independent stores and brands for workwear, including:
