Early Access to The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale JUST started for cardholders a few minutes ago! If you’re unfamiliar with the sale, do check out our guide — the short story is that fall merchandise is being marked down early, for a limited time; prices will go back up after the sale ends. I’m going to be poking through the sale in more detail later today, but I pulled out some early picks that I liked for work, as well as some beauty deals that I think are at high risk for selling out… Readers, what are you liking in the sale this year? Beauty Deals in the 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale That May Sell Out Fast
Beauty deals are some of the first ones to go, so if you've had your eye on a T3 hairdryer or some reader favorites like Dior Lip Glow, take a spin through those first. I'd particularly recommend paying attention to brands like Sunday Riley, ghd, LANCER, Paula's Choice, Living Proof, NARS, Dior, Charlotte Tilbury — see my reviews of Sunday Riley Good Genes, Dior Lip Glow, and NARS Afterglow Orgasm Lip Balm … I don't think I've written a review of it but I really love LANCER's Radiance Awakening Mask, and it is super pricey by itself; this set is a great deal.

I’m over it already. 2 hours in when I get a chance to log in, and 2 of the 3 of the items I had been eyeing are already sold out in popular sizes. Disappointed by Nordstrom’s strategy of encouraging frantic purchasing with limited inventory.

I guess so! But I abandoned my cart out of spite.
They need a faster bigger server. That is the reason for the problem’s in getting in and staying in. Nordstrom is still suffering from the loss of their CEO, so cut them a break, Dad says.
Totally agree with you regarding things already being sold out on the first day of the sale without restock. In my case, two items I ordered were not delivered. They sent me wrong items and wrong size and when I called to get it rectified, was told they were sold out of the item I was actually supposed to get. I really don’t care about their CEO situation; hire competent people and execute. They do a great job at marketing this sale but can’t deliver.
I got in yesterday due to spending way too much at Nordstrom last year.
I ordered three Leith long cardigans and that was it. I think my malaise is a combination of not being excited about work clothes as much as I used to be now that I’m in a casual office, and Nordstrom just not offering much exciting stuff.
I agree the beauty deals are usually the best deals. I ordered some Trish McEvoy before the sale via the person I usually buy it from. She sends out the deals a few weeks before the sale and accepts pre orders, and then ships on the first day of the sale.
I do like this AGL flat and I know the NAS is the best time to buy AGL but I also know this would not stay on my feet.

Am eyeing these flats for work (not willing to shell out the $$ for Rothy’s and I also like the scalloping detail). Can’t find reviews on comfort, though.
