P.S. Happy Mother's day to all the moms! Readers, what are you getting for your mother this year? Readers who are moms, what is the best mother's day gift you've ever received?
that damsels in success article is underwhelming, to say the least. first, crime rates have been steadily decreasing, for years at this point. second, the “advice” is just common sense.
In all fairness, the article states crime rates are rising “in some areas”; I’m sure that’s true.
This may be too late, but I am a long time reader — The Fine Young Gentleman is actually a guy I dated up until last week (mutual non-dramatic breakup, just got to the point where we would go exclusive yet neither of us are willing to go there, so still friends). He has quoted me (not by name) in his blog and the pieces he writes for Business Insider. Amazing to see him here.
Closet space is valuable real estate in my house, I don’t think I could get serious with a guy who requires more of it than I do, either. (j/k!)
Note cat breeds story is really a debatably useless article about how to get the feline equivalent of a Maserati. Because, and I quote, “A young associate attorney on the rise has merely one factor to consider when choosing a cat: the status symbol.” UM?
Anyway, I can’t tell whether the story is supposed to be a joke–but it’s pretty clear it’s not exactly “cat breeds for busy people.” :(
