  1. I’m horrified by that memo to women and even more horrified that they didn’t take responsibility and admit it was a mistake.

    1. Some of the tips were good. Regardless of audience, it really had a rough draft feel to it. Not sure why it didn’t get cleaned up some.

      1. Yes – some of the tips are good and apply to everyone. For me, the primary offense was that it was sent only to the women.

        1. I was pretty appalled by the “Lauren Bacall, not Marilyn Monroe” comment. Most of them, like practicing with the mike, not reading off of powerpoints or notes, etc, are great and universal, but some are absurdly patronizing.

          1. I more was appalled by the be a mouth breather comment. And I am in complete agreement that while several of these tips are spot on, several are snarky and/or insipid.
