  1. I feel like there was a post but can someone suggest some good bandaids/blister protectors or whatever for that part on the back of your foot that new heels rub against? breaking in a new pair of shoes and it’s unpleasant

    1. I highly recommend painting on a liquid bandage. This trick from a veteran conference planner has gotten me through many a trip where my job involved walking EVERYWHERE in a skirt suit. (Doesn’t take up extra space like a blister pad, and it rubs off your skin like rubber cement when you go to shower, too, so super easy to remove.)

  2. There’s some kind of blister balm that comes in a stick (similar to lip balm) but I can’t remember the name of it. Maybe one of the wonderful ladies here will recall what it is.

You could also try waterproof bandaids. I recently used them to cover stitches from my wrist surgery and they stuck like crazy! I can’t ever keep bandaids on and these things stuck like they were superglued. Just a warning — if you have any kind of latex sensitivity, they may give you some trouble, but otherwise, they should stay put and not rub off when you walk.
