Stuart Weitzman 'Dabba' PumpNordstrom’s shoe clearance sale is underway, and we’re liking these simple open-toes by Stuart Weitzman, available in both “cognac tartaruga” (pictured) and navy patent. Like the button detail, like the patent, like the general look. The shoes were $335, now marked to $199.90 at Nordstrom (lots of sizes still left). Stuart Weitzman ‘Dabba’ Pump

I bought a shoe from this line by SW in Nordstrom’s last sale and while I LOVED the tortoiseshell print, the patent leather was plasticy and way too painful to wear for even 5 minutes (so I couldn’t even fathom breaking them in). And I went up a half size to accomodate the small sizing. Just a PSA for anyone looking to buy…make sure they are returnable in case you find them as painful as I did.

I recommend a shoe stretcher for these types of leather. I had two pairs of very similar patent shoes and just made them wearable by spending one day each with the shoe stretcher I got from the cobbler.

Hi Ladies,

I just wanted to let you know that all your advice on not being afraid to negotiate paid off HUGE for me today! I am a consultant and Tuesday I was told they were making a change, which would result in a pay differential. I negotiated and ended up actually coming out ahead. I owe it all to your sage advice.

Gorgeous, classic style and color. But I can’t justify spending $200 on a pair of shoes that can’t be worn year-round.

I love all of Stu’s shoes and find them extremely comfortable. But while these are delicious eye candy I wouldn’t wear them often enough to justify $200. I may be on the lookout for a knock off.

Bandolino has a similar pair that I bought another time based on a link from this site. I’m actually wearing them today. Look around for Bandolino peep toes for a cheaper option.

Today is my last day of my summer internship in D.C., and I’ll be heading back for my final year of school soon in the UK. Hopefully I’ll be able to check this blog often, as it has great tips!
Thank you so much, Corporettes, for all the advice, hints, and tips. I would have been lost without you!
Au revoir!
xx A.M.

These look a lot like the Bandolino Shelley peeptoes in Tortoiseshell, which Kat recommended a while ago and I got in 3 colors because of the crazy low price: http://www.dsw.com/shoe/bandolino+shelley+pump?prodId=206394

I knew I’d seen something like this somewhere. It seems that Kat, like most of us, gravitate to things we like. I have quite a few similar shoes that I’ve bought not realizing I already owned almost the exact pair in my closet (or despite knowing it :)

I love these SWs. I just recently tossed my well-loved SW ankle boots. They were beyond worn out.
Now that I have kids to dress and feed. I try adopt a cap of $100 for most shoes, $150 for boots. I am too hard on shoes to justify $200.

These bandolinos are a great recommendation. I may like the look of it a bit better than the SW since there is no button detail on the shoe. Sadly, all sold out. At $25, that’s no surprise, but I am so very sad.

Aww come now, this is the internet. Just do a google search… here’s another site that offers them, but for $40.

Gorgeous. I may be splurging on this if I can get it to fit–Stuart Weitzman shoes tend to run narrow.

These look kind of blah to me, but I have to say thanks to whoever posted the link to the Me-Too red wedges at Nordstrom a week or so ago, I ordered them and love them!!

I think that cognac tartaruga is just crummy looking. That stuff might look okay in a plain pump, but there is just too much going on here with peep toe, criss cross, button accent plus that artificial plastic.
