Thursday’s TPS Report: Silk Sleeveless Blouse

Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices.

Everlane Silk SleevelessWe just rounded up silky button-fronts, and so it was with some interest that I noted that Everlane just launched three new versions of its’ silk blouse: sleeveless, short-sleeved, and a basic silk shell. I have mixed feelings about wearing sleeveless blouses (laundry reasons, appropriateness reasons — know your office!) but if you’re a fan of wearing them, this looks like a nice, simple basic. It’s available in six colors for $60. Everlane Silk Sleeveless

Wednesday’s TPS Report: Cotton Viscose Straight Leg Pants

Our daily TPS reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices.

Talbots Signature Cotton Viscose Straight Leg Pants PinkI spied these pale pink trousers a few weeks ago — they felt fresh then, and they feel fresh now. (Also, I’m seeing a lot of pale pink in surprising places, like denim blazers — and I kind of like it). The pants here are fully lined and have a bit of spandex — they’re $109 at Talbots is regular (sizes 2-20) and petites. Talbots Signature Cotton Viscose Straight Leg Pants

Coffee Break: Coastal Rain Coat

Lands' End Coastal Rain CoatWe seem to be making the shift towards warmer weather (finally!) so I’m hunting for a bright, happy raincoat to add to my collection — and Lands’ End seems to have a ton that are marked down today. I always prefer unbelted styles to belted ones (hence this pick, which also comes in a royal purple, khaki, navy, and a “sandy pink floral“), but I also like this more traditional belted trench in malachite and a light blue. Everything is available in regular, petite, tall, and plus sizes, and all of the coats are down to around $75 today. Lands’ End Coastal Rain Coat

Coffee Break: Siren Call Flats

Seychelles Siren Call FlatsI originally had my eye on these 3.5″ wedge heels to post, but then I started looking through all of the Seychelles shoes (so. many. cute. wedges!) and found these adorable mini-wedges — basically flats. As I’ve said before, I personally have a heckuva time finding comfortable ballet flats, so I love any strappy flat — and here, where the strappy detail/cutouts add a ton of interest AND there’s a slight point to the toe, I’m drooling.  (I also hate when flats have such a rounded toe that they look like slippers with full-length trousers. Yes, I’m a weirdo.) They’re pretty reasonably priced, too: were $95, now $76 in black, brown, and yellow. Seychelles Siren Call Flats

Weekend Open Thread

J.Crew Linen Cubist print teeSomething on your mind? Chat about it here.

J.Crew has some decent sales going on this weekend — take an extra 30% off sale items, an extra 50% off final sale items, and they have a ton of “weekend-ready basics” marked 25% off. For the weekend, I like this linen Cubist print (and I even liked it even before I knew that it came in a blue version!). It was $49, then marked to $29; with code SHOPNOW it comes down to $21. Nice.
