OPI Crystal Nail File (here's Kate's review — it's one of her favorite “little purchases“)

  1. I bought the BR sweater skirt because I already had the coordinating top, and I am delighted with it!

Also I have the crystal nail file and I love it.

  2. SO MANY beautiful work outfits and no place to wear them. Also, there is a M. M. LaFleur banner ad on my screen and there are all these beautifuly draped dresses and skirts, but I honestly have no idea when I am going to have an occasion to wear business formal again. I have worked from home for years and only went out for the occasional mediation or trial, but mediations are going via Zoom and I will be surprised if we see civil trials before fall or winter. I think there is going to be a real problem getting people to show up for jury duty, and criminal cases will get first dibs on those who do.

    1. So my local federal district court in SEUS did a town hall on jury trials yesterday and said they actually think they will be having civil trials before criminal ones– it is easier to limit the number of people in the room for a civil trial since you can have a jury of 6 and there are normally less parties. He did say though that they were polling jurors and for May (unsurprisingly) the majority of jurors were “unable/unwilling” to serve.

      1. That is definitely a consideration in federal court, and at least where I am the federal courtrooms are much bigger so it’s easier to space out. But I am thinking of medical malpractice or product liability cases with multiple defendants and experts, etc. and we have 12 person juries here. The jury rooms in our state courts are cramped. I’d be grossed out sitting in there for hours even without a potentially deadly virus.

  3. I gotta know who bought the feathered mules!
I bet they look fantastic on you, whoever you are!
