Has anyone had (or been to) a very small, low key baby shower? I’m pregnant and a friend has offered to throw me a shower in the fall, but I’m not into the typical activities like opening presents for the crowd, lots of games, and other things that just seem odd to me. Any ideas or experiences you’ve seen that might work well?
I was thrown a bridal shower, too, and I loved the food/drink/friends aspect but felt so awkward opening gifts and ooh’ing and ahh’ing over things I had already picked out on my registry. Can I just have my friend invite ladies over for cocktails (faux for me) and charcuterie? Or is that too weird?
Yes, that would be fun! Say that you want to do a “display shower” where people bring their gifts unwrapped to set out on a table – then people can ooh and ahh over mini booties without you having to sit there and open it all.
I say do it! That sounds delightful honestly.
Absolutely! I’ve been to baby showers and bridal showers that were more like afternoon cocktail parties, and loved them!
I know there’s been talk about thin or thinning hair on here recently, and was wondering if anyone has tried PRP? My hair has always been thin, but thanks to Zoom meetings I’m seeing myself a lot more, and realizing how thin it looks, and am interested in PRP, but have had a hard time finding unbiased reviews. Any experiences here?
