Personally I’m not a fan of the new “report” button. I don’t think there is enough of a problem to necessitate this and it just adds clutter to the page. Just my $0.02.

Agreed. Inappropriate comments on Corporette are usually learning opportunities, or our loveable local trolls, neither of which I want to get rid of.

I tend to agree. I’ve never seen anything on here that was truly, horrifically offensive. I think it’s better to let people speak their piece and let the other commenters respond. Not everyone likes what everyone else has to say, but I think it’s better to let people talk.

Where is Ellen (or is is ELLEN), these days?

She’s around! Still hoping for some guy to MARRY her, YAY!

I’m not a fan of the Report comment button either. I don’t think it’s necessary

The WSJ also has a very interesting article about how your posture/pose affects both your confidence and your image. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887323608504579022942032641408.html?KEYWORDS=posture

Thanks! I’ve been trying to work on this for myself. Interesting information here about the biochemistry, which is new to me.

Yeah, I thought that was really interesting too. Sort of like “fake it till you make it.”

This is just going to add fuel to the fire of every bro who thinks commercial aviation is one part transportation and two parts skirmish-for-the-armrest.
Irresponsible journalism, WSJ.
If you need me, I’ll be having my elbows surgically sharpened.
Nordstrom
I ordered a dress recently from Nordstrom and it came with a tag attached that I’ve never seen before (from there, anyway). I’m paraphrasing because I don’t have it in front of me now, but it was something along the lines of “We hope you’re satisfied with your purchase. If you decide to return or exchange this item, please make sure it is in its original condition with all tags attached.”
Is this a new thing, or have I just missed it before? Any thoughts on whether this could be a signal of a potentially tighter return policy?
ADL
My most recent dresses from NAS had these tags on them. I think it’s a sign of tightening their return policy. I also did overhear a conversation at the customer service counter, when I was returning some items, that the woman returning items wanted cash back yet because she didn’t have a receipt nor tags attached and they couldn’t look up the items in the computer with her credit card, they were giving her store credit for the current price of the item.

Was it a special occasion dress? A lot of special occasion dresses have this attached so you can’t wear it to the event and then return it afterwards.
Nordstrom
In my case, no, it’s a jersey knit style for casual Friday or weekend wear. Interesting point, though!
Also, whoops, I meant to post this in the weekend open thread (user error, not a tech issue).

I actually was coming on here to say Thank You, Kat for adding a flag function. Some other blogs that have started moderating trolls and concern trolls have become much more positive spaces to hang out. I really appreciate it.
And, also wanted to just thank Kat in general for creating this amazing community, the bulk of my IRL friends are all women I met on thissite, and I feel so lucky to know so many amazing women now. INTERNET HUGS TO EVERYONE

Aww, can we also have a like button??
Ashley
Seriously. I learn so much from the comments, its crazy. I would love to have the option – to Like the comment – rather than type something when time is limited.

I strongly disagree. I hate the flag function, and i think it will silence a lot of voices.others have already silenced old regulars because they they think constructive critisism means the person is meany.
zora
But Kat explained she will make the final decision whether to delete the comment or re-post it. I think that is a good compromise. It gives the community a chance to weigh in, but Kat will be a check on too much mob rule. I’m sure if she feels it is constructive criticism she won’t hesitate to overrule the flag.
Wildkitten
Is that a problem we need a solution for? Methinks it might just be a waste of WildKat’s time.

Wait, that was supposed to be for “thanking Cat”

Re: sleeping in workout clothes – I wear a “serious” sports bra and no way no how would I sleep in that sucker, but I have slept in shelf bra tanks and my pants before. I also work with a lady going through her change and she LOVES sleeping in her workout clothes because they wick away the sweat when she flashes at night.
