Some of the Latest, Trendy Workwear Favorites at Ann Taylor
Before we get to the classics, these are some of the latest reader favorites — use the arrows to see all of the items!
Some of readers' latest favorite Ann Taylor items include ankle pants, high-waist side zip pants, the short-sleeve sweater, the seamed pencil skirt, trouser pants, the sculpting pocket jeans (particularly trouser and boot crop cuts), this shimmery blouse, and the one-button blazer.
The Best Work Shirts at Ann Taylor
We've pictured all of the best-selling shirts in white, but note that they almost always are available in multiple colors, prints, and sometimes even with sleeveless or short-sleeved options. I would say that the collared button-front is the most conservative, followed by the popover, followed by the sweater tee — the camp shirt feels more casual to me because of the patch pockets.

Reader Favorite Pants at Ann Taylor
Most pants have regular and curvy fits in sizes 00-18, as well as petites and, occasionally, tall sizes. Note that a lot of these pants may match blazers — I would not try to match two different blacks to “make” a suit, but I think you can wear them all as separates or with other blazer separates in different colors or very different textures (e.g., tweed, velvet). If you did originally purchase the pants as part of a suit, though, be wary of laundering the pants separately far more often than your blazer — you want the wear and tear to be roughly the same.

Their skirts and dresses also come in regular and petite sizes! Note that these mostly have matching blazers as well.
The Best Ann Taylor Blazers for Work Outfits
In addition to basics like black and navy, the reader favorite blazers often come in a variety of fun colors or prints — many come in petite or tall sizes, as well. The old advice has always been that the bustier you are, the more multiple buttons are helpful for fit — but your mileage may vary!

Advice needed on wearing a popover blouse – are you supposed to tuck it in? I always feel like it looks somewhat unprofessional if I don’t, but then never looks right when I do tuck in.
