Cyber Monday Sales for Workwear

Poking around today I’m seeing that most of the sales that started for Black Friday have continued today, with a few exceptions (some sales got better, like H&M went from 20 to 30%) TONS of great sales this holiday season, ladies — what are you buying? For workwear, these are the sales of note… my favorites are the Nordstrom sale (extra 20% off!) and some great deals at Zappos, surprisingly… see the full roundup, after the jump!

Splurge Monday’s Workwear Report: Glassa Sheath Dress

Our daily workwear reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices.

Happy Cyber Monday! Have you guys seen any good deals yet? I’m just starting to poke around, but the  Nordstrom sale continues to be one of the best deals out there, particularly for spluge-worthy brands like Max Mara, Akris Punto, and more. (Saks and Neiman Marcus are both worth looking at as well this morning for this kind of purchase, where both have a tiered gift card offer up to $750 for regular-price purchases) This dress may look simple and like a dress you could get at $80 at one of the mall stores — but the difference in fabrics and tailoring is apparent as soon as you touch it.  It was $795, but is now marked to $476. Glassa Sheath Dress

This $69 plus-size dress has a similar color and vibe, and this $128 dress in regular sizes is a classic.

Nordstrom Thanksgiving Sale: Workwear Picks

nordstrom thanksgiving sale 2017Cyber Monday update: almost everything in this post is an EXTRA 20% off for Cyber Monday — we’ve also done a roundup of shoes and bags in the sale!

I’ve been a busy bee going through the early Nordstrom Thanksgiving sale all day! Note that they’ve kind of got two sales going on right now: one is the big designer clearance sale they always have around this time of year, and the second is early markdowns hitting the racks in anticipation of their usual Thanksgiving sale — with TONS of workwear under $100.  On the designer side of things, I’m noticing a lot of sale items for Manolo Blahnik, Chloé, Max MaraAkris punto, Prada and more — and on the regular side of things, lots of good deals on J.Crew, Lafayette 148 New York, Kate Spade New York, Nic + ZoeAGLStuart Weitzman, and Tahari. Note that there are also lots of good deals on beauty, including on Urban Decay (some up to 50% off!), MAC, Philosophy, and Bobbi Brown — and of course some great deals on lingerie including NatoriChantelle, Hanky Panky, Yummie Tummie, and more. I’ll have to save the shoes and accessories in the Nordstrom Thanksgiving sale for another post — stay tuned!

Holiday Weekend Open Thread

Something on your mind? Chat about it here.

When we recently tried to answer the pressing question of what boots to wear with tights to work in 2017, there were a lot of fun options that would be great for weekends, but maybe not for the office. These simple studded boots (well-reviewed and on sale!) look like they’d be cute with skinny jeans, tights for a weekend dress, or more. They were $120, but are now on sale for $59.96 — available in black, gray, and cognac. Kolo Flared-Heel Studded Bootie

Psst: Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
