This week, we’re stepping a bit outside our comfort zone: we usually don’t like short-sleeved suits, nor do we like cuffed pant legs. (We just don’t have the height to pull ’em off.) However, we love the simple black and white weave, and we love that there is both a long-sleeved jacket and a short-sleeved jacket with the same fabric (as well as pants and an A-line skirt). The short-sleeved jacket is what caught our eye, actually — the slight puff sleeve, the cinched waist, the upturned collar. We’d also wear the short-sleeved jacket year-round — by itself in summertime, and with a turtleneck or scoopneck sweater beneath it in colder months. The short-sleeved jacket is $150, the pants are on sale for $77, the A-line skirt is $79, and the longer-sleeved jacket is $198. This is the kind of suit we’d wear with a simple black or white t-shirt beneath, and then go for loud accessories like purple shoes or a blue patent belt.
