   I am looking for a new wallet and not wanting to spend a lot of money on it. I need a bunch of card slots and a compartment (either zippered or clasped) for coins, but I don’t carry around my checkbook. Any suggestions? Thanks!

     I’m not sure what your budget is, but I highly recommend Hobo wallets.

     Fossil! I have a $40 Fossil wallet that meets all your needs and has lasted me for years. I’ve noticed that many of my female friends also have Fossil wallets, and every time I remark on this they comment on how much they love their wallet. I love mine too.

       +1 Fossil. My now six-year-old Fossil wallet looks, not brand new but still pretty damn good for its age – no loose threads, creases or wear marks. Just a little fading of the black-on-metal Fossil plate (some of the letters aren’t black anymore.)

     I love my Fossil wallet also! I also like Brighton wallets — pricey, but you can often find them on ebay (new).

     Thank you to all of you for your suggestions! I woke up this morning never having heard of Hobo International and now I am the proud owner of a Hobo wallet. The best deal I found was 20% off at bagshop.com, with free shipping and no tax (since I’m not in the northeast). Thank you again for your suggestions – I just love this forum.

   Issue with searching the comment threads.

   At one time you could search for something like “Frenchi blazer” and if it had been mentioned in the comments, the comments thread would come up. Now I can’t do that, and it doesn’t work if I just try to search the site through Google by doing “Corporette.com: frenchi blazer” either. I can find it if Kat talks about it but not if commenters do.

   What am I missing here?

       For the record, it is annoying that Lijit won’t search comment threads, and I wish we could go back to whatever the old search function was.

   And I have to add, after reading the comments from that designer bag post from last year, it seems like all the chicks who are obsessed with bags are the ones who are also obsessed with their job titles (i.e., “I’m an ATTORNEY”). Quality is great, style is great, money in the bank is golden.
