I love the jacket on the previous thread!
Early parenting related TJ – sorry!
I go back to work in two weeks after my maternity leave. A part of me is ready to return but another part is slowly starting to panic. The separation anxiety and guilt are starting to get to me. We have family helping out with babysitting so we don’t need to worry about daycare, but still I feel sad I won’t be at home to see my baby grow up. Any tips or advice in managing this transition would be most appreciated!!
No advice, but I’d re-post in a major morning or afternoon thread again. The “as seen in [name of this site]” posts do not get a lot of traffic.
All of the links for the second Two Years Ago section are broken – 404 errors.
that happens with most of the links during most of the “previously…” posts, unfortunately
whoops – fixed!
is your handle re: edward monkton? he’s one of my favorites.
I think it’s what Dug says when he’s stuck in one of those cones by the other mean dogs in Pixar’s “UP”
Susan has it right -it’s from the movie Up, which has a story line about dog’s social hierarchy. When you’re punished, you wear the Cone of Shame. And one dog says, very sadly and memorably, “I do not like the Cone of Shame”. My dog just happened to get a Cone of Shame from the vet when I set up my account.
Can anyone rec any wine that goes well with curried fish? I’m invited over to a friend’s place this evening and she’s cooking us up some curried fish. Don’t want to spend more than 20-25 bucks on a bottle
Definitely a white, you want to avoid tannins. Try a botttle of Savignon Blanc, a Gewurztraminer, or a sparkling Spanish Cava.
I’d go with a sovignon blanc or even a chardonnay.
I like Seaglass sauvignon blanc. You should be able to get 2 bottles in your price range. I also like Big Claw white table wine, and it’s meant to go with seafood.
