Oooh, I’d love another lunchtime workout discussion, or just another exercise/health post of some sort generally?
The last one seems to have been during last summer, but it’s a topic on my mind these days- I’m having a really tough time with scheduling things in and I’d love to know how the other women fit in their workouts, especially those that train for marathons, etc.
I run about 40 miles/week. I run on the treadmill in the evenings after work, and long runs outside on the weekend. I only rarely workout at lunch, if I know I won’t have the chance in the evening, but I’d rather start my workout at 9 or 10pm then get up extra early or squeeze it in at lunch. I work full time (~40-50 hrs/week), am doing a masters program part time (one online class/quarter), no kids.
I have a terrible time getting to the gym in the evenings, so in the past month, I’ve actually started to work out in the middle of the afternoon. I find that works really well – the gym isn’t as busy as it would be if I went at lunch, and it helps me with that ubiquitous mid-afternoon slump. If your job will let you do it, I highly recommend it.
Apparently this week two years ago we were complaining about web issues preventing us from seeing new posts… some things never change!
