I would love to restart the wedding officiant conversation! I’m officiating a friend’s wedding in June in Napa. The ceremony will be outdoors. I have a navy kneelength dress with cap sleeves and a boat neckline, full-ish skirt. I’m wondering if going barelegged will be OK? I NEVER wear hose or tights in the summer but want to be correct : ) Also, I was going to go with black closed-toed shoes to stay “sedate” and possibly change into more fun shoes for the reception if I feel like it. Thoughts?

Wearing hose in Napa would be a little weird. Particularly in June. You sound like you’ve got a very appropriate outfit.

That sounds totally appropriate to me. I think it would be totally fine to ask the bride if she has a preference if you feel unsure though.
