Would love to hear about anyone’s experience with taking Vitamin D3. I wasn’t feeling my best, was having anxiety and some lower mood than usual, and decided to try 10,000 IU per day at recommendation of knowledgeable friend. Within 2 days I feel like a different person, calmer, better sleep and anxiety diminished. Reading about this, docs say if you feel an immediate impact, you were definitely deficient. I know I need to get my blood tested and will do that….wanted to know if others have similar experiences with D3. I am taking it with Magnesium as recommended. I am also someone that tans very easily and I maintain a nice tan from about May – September. This year’s weather limited my sun exposure so I suspect this is related to my symptoms. Thanks in advance!
Had low D3, haven’t noticed any changes since rectifying it. Would not take more than 2000 IU per day w/o dr. supervision. Here’s some side effects from “taking more than 4000 IU” https://www.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingredientmono-929/vitamin-d
Can someone help me differentiate between the Kindle Fire and Paperwhite? I’m thinkink about getting one for my DH for Christmas. TIA!!
What’s his purpose? The Fire is a tablet (less powerful/useful iPad), the Paperwhite is just an e-reader. I hate reading on tablets but adore my Paperwhite.
I haven’t used a Paperwhite but I like my Kindle Fire (my third one, maybe two years old by now) a lot. I find it easy to read on, and I also use it for things like e-mail if I’m traveling and tired of squinting at my phone or need to look at a document and want a larger screen, online shopping, word games, watching Prime videos (not very often, but the picture is excellent if small). So, yes, it is a tablet, cheaper – and less functional – than an iPad. I have also loaded some kids books on it for the rare occasions when I need to entertain a small child; the color format is nice for that.
If your spouse only would use it to read, my understanding is the Paperwhite is better, maybe the waterproof variety.
Kat, I so love these old p’osts! I can’t believe the holiday card thread goes back to 2008! I was so young back then, and did NOT even know about corporette. Those days, I spent most of my time pushing professors away who wanted me to do stuff with them. FOOEY on those old hornbags!
